Concert Schedule this SUMMER 2005!

The Greater Walpole DBA “for a greater Walpole” is our official title and slogan.  This group of over 150 merchants and professionals formed in 1992 as a direct result of meetings that were held to keep the businesses abreast of the progress when the downtown area was undergoing revitalization. 

Several attendees remained and began to sponsor events and activities in hopes of bringing citizens back to the downtown area to do their business.  All of the events focus on the family as our customer base.  Some of the events are the Holiday Caroling on the Common, the summertime Concerts on the Common, the Halloween Trick or Treat/Costume parade, the Easter Egg Puzzle Hunt as well as the flower barrel beautification project from spring until threat of snow. 

The DBA also sponsors an annual Young Citizen of the Year Scholarship program where a middle school-age youngster is awarded a $500 Education IRA for outstanding community service efforts.  This student and other nominees are feted at an annual breakfast.
