Walpole Historical Society Meeting: February 19, 2006.

The next meeting of the Walpole Historical Society will be on February 19, at 2PM, at the Deacon Willard Lewis House. The theme of the meeting will be the Walpole Town Forest. This year is the 90th anniversary of the Dedication of the Town Forest. With that in mind, we are having an open forum meeting to gather information on the Forest and disseminate information in the Society’s collection. Roger Turner will conduct the meeting, hoping to get any other facts that may be in peoples memories, scrap books,
and photo albums. Time goes by and information has a way of getting lost – “history lost is no longer history”. Members and guests are invited to stop by and bring what they have on the Town Forest. There is no admission fee and refreshments will be served.
