The Changing Face of Gas Stations

As the price of gasoline has increased, another situation has developed that makes it even harder to ‘fill up’ the tank.

Some gas stations have found that the profit margin has dwindled to the point that it is no longer possible to continue selling gas.

Yes, two local service stations have decided to stop selling gas at the pumps.

Thus, as you watch the fuel gauge drop to empty, you should be looking around a little quicker to find a station that is still open.

Leisure activities in our Town

As the warm weather allows, many folks are enjoying the town pool at the center playground and others are taking the in summer concerts at the common.

The public library continues to offer many varied activities for children.

We remind parents and students about the Walpole Public Schools Summer Reading Program. The books and other reading material can be located at the library.

Folks are advised to check out the books early and do the reading before the summer flies by.

Remember that the reading assignments and the written essays count heavily toward that first term grade.

Enjoy the change of pace over the summer and be safe while vacationing
