Important dates are creeping up upon us.

The Annual Boston Marathon is next Monday. As usual, there will be a host of local runners competing against the clock and against the elements and struggling for the challenge itself.

After school vacation, the town looks ahead to the annual spring version of town meeting and the perpetual exercise in determining a town budget.

Then, the campaign begins. Candidates are now filling out nomination papers for town wide office or for the RTM designation. Nomination papers are due back to the town clerk by 5:00 pm this Friday, April 12.

The annual election will be held on Saturday, June 1.

We remind folks of the changes to the precincts and the change in voting locations.

Remember we have a new precinct 8.

Finally, those voters in precincts 1-5 will go to the High School to cast their ballots. And, those voters from precincts 6 – 8 will go to the Fisher School.

Root for your favorite runner next Monday, enjoy the change in weather, and look ahead to a busy campaign.
