Town Meeting Opens

The 2003 fall town meeting opens this week, starting on Monday night, Oct. 20 at 7:30 pm in the Johnson Middle School auditorium.

The fall town meeting typically concerned with zoning issues, changes to by-laws, fiscal fine-tuning, and budgetary cleanup.

This year is no exception with less than 20 articles in the whole warrant.

Board of Selectmen

The board of selectmen apparently chooses to continue operating as a four-member board. Rather than take the time and money to hold a special election, the board prefers to continue operation as things are.

The risks to be taken are that there will not be any tie votes and that there will not be any quorum concerns.
