Red Sox Nation Celebrates

We are tired and emotionally spent. But we are awake today and relieved to anticipate another playoff series with the vaunted competition – the New York Yankees.

Yes, The Fenway faithful have been rewarded with a tense and scary five game playoff with the Oakland Athletics.

Nobody with pencil and eraser could have written a script for this series with more drama and excitement. There was a sense of destiny and a sense of irony in each of the games.

Much is made of the historic duels with the Yankees and Red Sox. History aside, this promises to be another exciting two weeks of playoff baseball.

We imagine that the productivity of workers and the energy of all will be depleted as we take in these games.

A few times in our lives, we allow for sport to be larger than life.

…………..

Town meeting starts up in two weeks. If the Sox continue their streak, the moderator may need to schedule sessions with a large screen TV handy.
