Week – Nov. 29th

Year – 2004

The Holidays are upon us….

With Thanksgiving Day a part of our history for 2004, we look ahead to the celebration of the holidays of December.

Whatever culture or religion is yours, there is a time in December to note its observance and celebrate.

Our merchants and stores are eagerly awaiting the shopping sprees that also mark this time of the year.

Buildings and buildings

The complicated and controversial discussion over the possibility of renaming the Elm Street school continues to capture the imagination of many.

What’s in a name?  Stay tuned.

And, the Walpole Public Library has raised its voice in the community to seek approval to find new space for its facility. The Board of Trustees has resurrected their 20 year old plans for a new library at the corner of Stone and school streets.

So, buildings will continue to be the source of sidewalk discussions while shoppers hunt for the best buy.
